Visitors to School Property Protocol

At Tri-Creek School Corporation, the safety and security of our students and staff are our top priorities. To ensure a secure and welcoming environment, all visitors to school property must adhere to the following protocol:

1. Visitor Check-In Process

  • All visitors must enter through the main entrance and proceed directly to the school office.
  • A valid, government-issued photo ID is required for entry.

2. Advanced Scheduling

  • Visitors are encouraged to schedule appointments in advance whenever possible.
  • Unscheduled visits may result in delays or denial of entry due to school operations or safety protocols.

3. Restricted Areas

  • Visitors are not permitted in classrooms, hallways, or other restricted areas without prior authorization.
  • Parents or guardians wishing to visit a classroom must arrange the visit in advance with the school principal and complete a background check application.

4. Safety Measures

  • The district reserves the right to deny entry to any individual who does not comply with these protocols or presents a potential safety concern.
  • Visitor activities are monitored, and staff are trained to address security concerns promptly.

5. Prohibited Items and Behavior

  • Weapons, tobacco, alcohol, and other prohibited items are strictly forbidden on school property.
  • Visitors who display disruptive, threatening, or inappropriate behavior will be asked to leave and may face further consequences.

6. Volunteer and Vendor Procedures

  • Volunteers and vendors are required to complete additional clearance requirements as directed by school administration.
  • These individuals must also follow the visitor check-in process during their time on school property.

7. Emergency Protocols

  • In case of an emergency, visitors must comply with all instructions from school personnel.
  • Evacuation or lockdown procedures apply to everyone on school grounds, including visitors.

We appreciate your cooperation and commitment to ensuring a safe and positive environment for our school community!
