Memorial bench for Nurse Jenny Gaspar
On May 27, 2022, Oak Hill Elementary staff and students came together with the family of Mrs. Jenny Gaspar, Nurse Jenny, to honor the memory of her passing on February 13, 2020. Mr. Jason Gaspar and the Gaspar family donated money to help support Oak Hill PTO purchase two new pieces of playground equipment in Jenny’s honor. We were able to purchase the Topsey Turvey and Stand Up See-Saw.
During the memorial service, PTO dedicated an outside bench to Nurse Jenny that will be placed in between the two new pieces of equipment. The bench has a plaque mounted to it that is enscripted with a dedication to Jenny. This year and for many years after, students will enjoy playing outside and being healthy thanks to the donation of the Gaspar family and Oak Hill PTO.
Jenny was known by all to have a love of children. Her kindness and generosity to others was also well-known. That generous spirit and thoughtfulness is displayed daily through the actions of her two children, Ava and Ryan. Ava and Ryan are two of our best at Oak Hill who epitomize what it means to be a cardinal. Their mom would be so proud of them!
