Principal's Message
At Lowell Intermediate School, we are dedicated to providing a dynamic learning environment where students in grades five and six can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Our mission is to provide a bridge between elementary and middle school to help set students up for success as they move into secondary education.
Our mission is to inspire every student to reach their full potential. We aim to create a nurturing community where each child feels valued and encouraged to explore their own interests and talents.
Our academic program is designed to challenge and engage all students. LIS teachers are experienced and have a passion for their content areas. Students’ subjects include:
- 2 blocks of Language Arts
- 2 blocks of Mathematics
- Science
- Social Studies
- Specials classes - Physical Education / STEM / Library
- Elective class - band, art, or choir
- Bookended homeroom time to begin and end the student day
We believe in the importance of a well-rounded education, which includes opportunities for students to explore their interests outside of the classroom. Our extracurricular programs include:
